CNC BTA Boring Machine for Cylinders and Spindles

The STL series is a Horizontal Type BTA Boring Machine designed for deep-hole boring of rotating workpieces such as cylinders, spindles, etc. Its powerful main spindle motor ensures heavy duty cutting at high speed. Various boring methods such as solid boring, counter boring and trepanning are available. In the machining of asymmetric workpieces or eccentric holes, the machine works with a rotating drill and a non-rotating workpiece because the workpiece cannot rotate at sufficient speed. When the hole must meet high straightness requirements, both the drill and the workpiece rotate. The rotating direction of the drill is then opposite to that of the workpiece. With honing attachment, the machining of a hollow bar for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders is also possible.
